Refunds and cancellation
Thirty days, all of it back, no questions and no email exchange about why. Cancel whenever you want.
Effective 24 August 2026.
The refund
Within 30 days of your first payment, ask and you get all of it back. You do not have to give a reason, and you will not be asked for one or offered a discount to stay. Write to [email protected] from the address you subscribed with. Refunds are issued to the original card, usually the same day and always within three business days; your bank then takes its own five to ten days to show it.
Why it is offered
Because of when this product actually works. About four fifths of the companies covered here close their financial year on 31 December, which means most annual reports land in February and March. Subscribe in July and it may be quiet for months. You should be able to find that out and get your money back rather than discover it after the window has closed — which is also why the yearly plan is the one worth buying.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time — by writing to [email protected]. Your alerts keep running until the end of the period you have already paid for, and nothing further is charged. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
After the first 30 days
Payments outside that window are not refunded pro rata — cancelling stops the next charge rather than refunding the current period. Two exceptions, both automatic:
- If the service stops being offered, you get back whatever you paid for time not yet served.
- If you were charged in error — a duplicate, or a renewal after you cancelled — you get it back in full, whenever it is noticed.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically. Annual subscribers get an emailed reminder before each renewal, in time to cancel. Monthly subscribers can cancel from any receipt.
Something wrong?
If a figure in an alert looks wrong, tell us at [email protected] — the arithmetic is published precisely so it can be checked, and a reader who catches an error is doing the site a favour. Please write before disputing a charge with your bank; a refund is faster than a chargeback for both of us.
